President’s Welcome

This is an exciting time for TSHHRAE as we embark on a new year and springboard into the future.  With people at the very core of what we value, equip, and develop in the healthcare industry, TSHHRAE’s outlook is one of inclusion for all who function in human resources at all healthcare vantage points.

TSHHRAE’s vision in providing ongoing development and networking opportunities encompasses a broad spectrum that brings together a statewide forum for human resources professionals.  Enthusiasm is building with the implementation of our newly enhanced website that will provide more effective avenues of information, interactive components, and data interchanges.  Another anticipated resource is TSHHRAE’s offering of additional learning models that will highlight updated knowledge and best practices, with some of these learning models providing professional continuing education credits.  TSHHRAE will also be sponsoring scholarship opportunities for college students pursuing careers in human resources.  As the healthcare journey progresses, human resources acts as the “rudder” by virtue of its value of cultivating people that carry on the respective healthcare missions and visions across the state of Texas.

I would strongly encourage getting onboard with TSHHRAE and experiencing its enrichments through networking and development.  TSHHRAE is affiliated with ASHHRA and is the proud recipient of the ASHHRA 2012 Chapter Management Recognition Award.

For those who are new to our organization, let me be the first to “Welcome!” you to TSHHRAE.  We look forward to getting better acquainted with you, and how TSHHRAE can provide a setting for human resources growth.
