Our 4-part webinar series include:
1. Termination
The purpose of this training session will be to enhance skills relating to evaluating, counseling, disciplining and terminating employees. The session will provide an overview of legal issues relating to these employment processes, practical suggestions for avoiding legal claims, and guidelines on documenting employee performance and personnel decisions and conducting disciplinary or termination conferences.
2. Hiring the Right Person
Learn how to recognize the difference between a resume vs. an application, define behavioral-based interviewing, be able to use the 6-step interview process, identify the “perfect” candidate, and identify common pitfalls in interviewing.
While the webinar series is tailored to suit the skill level of beginners, it also serves as a refresher course for the more experienced in the audience.
3. RESCHEDULED: Legal Challenges
The purpose of this training session will be to understand recent attempts made by nurses and other staff to organize and practical tips for how to respond to such unionization efforts. The session will provide an examination of the history of union organizational efforts in the healthcare industry, common tactics and measures taken by nurses and their supporting organizations, and permissive responses to such efforts by supervisors and other management personnel. The session will also generally discuss recent legal changes and practical suggestions for avoiding legal claims given those recent developments.
4. Demystifying the Background Check – What You Need To Know
