President

Born and raised in San Antonio, TX. Marcos has enjoyed a successful career as a human resources professional that has spanned close to 25 years, with 20 years specifically in the health care industry.  Currently, works with Covenant Health in Lubbock, TX as Executive Director of Human Resources for the west Texas/eastern New Mexico region.  Attained Bachelors in Business Administration degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Texas at San Antonio.  Certified as a Professional in Human Resources from the Human Resources Certification Institute.  Current and past affiliations include officer and state board member of Texas Society of Healthcare Human Resources Administration and Education (TSHHRAE) and state board member of the American Lung Association of Texas.


Becky Stirzaker
Immediate Past President

Becky Stirzaker has served as Director of Human Resources at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas since September 2011. She joined Valley Baptist Health System in 2007 as Human Resources Manager. Valley Baptist Health System is a part of Tenet Healthcare.  Stirzaker currently serves as a board member of the Tenet HR Advisory Board.  Before beginning her career in healthcare, she was in educational administration serving as high school principal.  Having earned a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Texas-Pan American and a master’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of Texas-Brownsville, Stirzaker also obtained her Superintendent Certification.   She holds a Professional in Human Resources Certification (PHR) and currently serves on the Learning and Education Committee of American Society for Healthcare Human Resource Administration.

Becky and her husband, Tom, have been married for 22 years, and they have one daughter, Jacqueline.

Jennifer Rummel
Secretary

Jennifer is the Director of Human Resources for East Texas Medical Center Regional Healthcare System for the ETMC Athens, Cancer Institute, Cedar Creek Lake, and Fairfield facilities for over 15 years.  She has a total of 20 plus years of Human Resource Healthcare Administration experience. 

Jennifer graduated from University of Texas at Tyler with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resource Development and a Masters of Science in Human Resources Administration.  She has been on the Texas Society of Healthcare Human Resources and Education Board for many years. 

She resides in East Texas with her husband, Alan of 23 years and two daughters, Mallary & Madelyn.  She is very involved in her community and serves on various professional boards and organizations.


Mark Sherry
Treasurer

A seasoned human resources executive with more than 20 years of experience, Mark A. Sherry joined Scott & White Healthcare (now Baylor Scott & White Healthcare) as Regional Director of Human Resources in December 2012. He is responsible for leading a human resource department and building an innovative and lean culture for the Austin/Round Rock and Hill Country Region, which employee more than 2,300 employees, including employed physicians for an integrated Healthcare System of five hospitals and 25 free standing clinics.

A graduate from St. Francis College with a Masters in Human Resource Management, Sherry came to BSWH from South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, GA. Hired as an Assistant Administrator, he led the Human Resource Division which included human resources, patient relations, and pastoral care departments.

Sherry began his Healthcare career as Director of Recruitment and Retention for Lancaster General Hospital in Pennsylvania and then accepted a position with Universal Health Services, Inc. in South Carolina where he served as Associate Administrator and Human Resource Director for the for-profit company.

An active SHRM and ASHRRA member, Sherry served as a past president of the South Carolina Healthcare Human Resources Association (SCHHRA). Additionally, he has presented on the topic “Service Excellence it Starts with Me” at the ASHHRA national conference where he received “Best Practice” recognition.

Lisa Bibb

Lisa is the Director of Human Resources at San Angelo Community Medical Center, a 171-bed acute care facility in San Angelo, Texas where she has been employed for 18 years.  She has over 30 years experience in healthcare Human Resources.  Prior to joining Community in 1996, Lisa served in various Human Resources and Accounting roles at St. John’s Hospital in San Angelo. 

Lisa graduated from Angelo State University with a B.B.A. in Management and   has completed graduate level HR Management coursework at Tarleton State University.  Lisa received her PHR certification in 1997 and achieved SPHR designation in 2011.  She has been a member of TSHHRAE for many years and has served on the board since November 2013.


Eileen Brown

Eileen Brown is the Director of HR Transitions Management for Conifer Health Solutions in Frisco, Texas.  She received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and her Masters of Public Policy and Management, with a Concentration in healthcare, from the University of Texas at Brownsville.

Eileen started her career in Healthcare at Valley Baptist Health System in Harlingen, Texas in 1995, where she served in many leadership roles, including the Director of Recruitment and Benefits.  With the acquisition of Valley Baptist/Vanguard Healthcare by Tenet Healthcare, Eileen transferred to the Dallas area to take on the role of Director of HR Transitions Management for Conifer Health Solutions, a subsidiary for Tenet.

Eileen is on the Board of the Texas Society of Healthcare Human Resources and Education, where she previously serves as President. She has received the Excellence in Leadership Award twice from TSHHRAE. She served two terms as the Regional Consultant for Region 7 for ASHHRA. Eileen currently resides in Little Elm, Texas with her husband, John and in close proximity to her three grown children, Adam, Ryan and Logan.


Aundreia Evans

Aundreia Evans is Human Resources Generalist with Resolute Health Hospital in New Braunfels, Texas, which she was recruited to help open. In 2014, Evans received her Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration from Texas State University, San Marcos, Texas and has been with Resolute Health Hospital for three years. She is working towards a Master's Degree in Adult Education – Workplace Learning and Community Education with expected completion date of May 2018. A member of ASHHRA, she is also certified in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.

In her spare time, Evans enjoys playing guitar and leading the youth worship band at her local church.

 

 


Edwin A. Maldonado II

Edwin A. Maldonado II is currently the Enterprise Human Resources Operations Business Partner for the Travis County Hospital District – Central Health in Austin, TX. This includes Community Care, Sendero Health Plans, and the Community Care Collaborative. Before becoming a part of the Travis County Hospital District team, he was hired to create, develop, and implement the entire HR life cycle for newly launched and innovative Hospital/healthcare system which focused on improving population health through integrated hospital and wellness services. This involved providing the vision, insight, and direction in building the human resources organization and infrastructure for a start-up healthcare campus, acute care hospital, and clinically integrated healthcare delivery network.  Edwin received his Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration from Texas State University, San Marcos, Texas and plans on continuing his education towards a Master’s Degree in Business/Healthcare Administration.  He is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration (ASHHRA), and served on the Comal County Independent School Districts Compensation Task Force.

Edwin currently resides in New Braunfels, Texas with his girlfriend Chelsea and their dog Kaiser.  Outside of work, he enjoys traveling the world and spending time with his Mother (Bethzaida), Father (Edwin), and younger sister (Kristina).


Tammy Oehlke


Born and raised in Texas, spending the majority of her youth in the Corpus Christi area Tammy has worked in administrative positions her entire adult career – with a majority of her duties being those that would likely fall under the role of Human Resources, though there was never a title associated.

Oehlke and her husband live in La Grange, Texas and have two grown children, Brooke and Justin, as well as a granddaughter, Carlie.  She began employment with Fayette Memorial Hospital (FMH) in La Grange November 1998, as an HR Assistant.  In 2000, Oehlke was promoted to Director of Human Resources – a position she held until the closure of FMH in July 2005.

In July 2005, Oehlke began employment with St. Mark’s Medical Center (SMMC) in La Grange, Texas as the Director of Human Resources, a position she currently holds.

In early 2006, Oehlke obtained her PHR certification and joined TSHHRAE later that year.  She has served on the Board since 2010, and as the Treasurer since 2011.

Oehlke has been active in her community through participation in Lions, Rotary and serving on the Board of the La Grange Chamber of Commerce.

Debbie Splinter


Debbie Splinter serves as  Human Resources Director at Texas Spine & Joint Hospital, Tyler,TX, where she has been for over 7 years. Splinter has worked in Human Resources for 24 years, 21 in the healthcare industry. Very active in professional and community organizations, she has been a member of American College of Healthcare Executives since 2010, obtaining her Fellow in 2014,  the Society for HR Management since 1996, and both American Hospital Association and Texas Society for Healthcare HR since 1995. In 2015, she received her CHHR certification.

Splinter is also Administrative Vice President for BSA East Texas Board, a board member for Boy Scouts of America and a member of South Tyler Rotary. She has been married to Travis for 28 years and has two sons, Matthew 18 and Michael 17, both Eagle Scouts.


Tracy Stanford


Tracy joined Baylor Scott & White Health (formerly Baylor Health Care System) in April of 2012 at Baylor All Saints in Fort Worth. Today, she serves as the Director of Human Resources Strategic & Business Services for The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano, The Heart Hospital Baylor Denton, and satellite Centers for Advanced Cardiac Care at the Plano and McKinney Baylor Scott & White Health campuses. Tracy leads a team of HR professionals dedicated to strategic workforce planning and creating an exceptional employee experience at The Heart Hospitals and their affiliates as they continue to build the THH footprint across North Texas, including a tower expansion at the Plano campus that will conclude in summer 2018.

Tracy began her Human Resources career at Henderson Memorial Hospital (now ETMC Henderson) in 1999 and has since worked in HR in a variety of other industries. Just prior to returning to healthcare HR in 2008, Tracy served as the Staff Manager of Strategic Human Resources at Alltel Communications’ corporate offices in Little Rock, Arkansas, where her work was focused on engagement and retention efforts across national Retail and Business Sales service lines.

Tracy graduated Summa Cum Laude from LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas with a Bachelor of Business Administration, and she is currently in pursuit of her Executive MBA through Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas. Tracy has been certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) since 2007 and has been SHRM-SCP certified since 2015.

Tracy resides in Denton with her husband, Ryan, of 20 years and their lovable rescue animals. Tracy is the proud mother of two grown children, Nathan Hines (a Property Tax professional in Gainesville) and Abby Stanford (a Public Relations & Photography major at The University of North Texas in Denton).
